Principal's Address

I would like to welcome all our students and staff back to St. Brendan?s for the 2012/2013 school year. I hope it is a successful year for all, especially our examination students in both 3rd and 6th year.

Well done to our out-going 6th year students who performed so well in their leaving certificate examinations, many of whom are now studying their college course of choice. We wish them, as well as those who have taken up employment or who have taken the year out to travel, the best of luck.

A large investment has been made in the school this year to enhance St. Brendan?s College as a place of excellence in teaching and learning as well as maintaining its great reputation in sports and extra curricular activities. The completion of our new changing rooms block and our Learning Support Centre will complement our existing facilities to continue to meet the educational needs of students in the 21st century.

I would like to thank all the parents for their continued support of the efforts of the school to provide a good all-round education for the students and in particular those parents who serve the school so well in a voluntary capacity on the Parents Association, the Board of Management and at our various fund-raising and social events.

Finally, I would like to wish all of our school community an enjoyable, safe and successful year in all that they undertake.

John Taylor

Principal
